Sofie came to us because her owner passed away. His daughter called us to help find her a new great home.  Sofie spent most of her time outdoors but so loves the indoors.  She is now officially an indoor dog who likes to go on walks, run around the backyard, play and chase squirrels, then back in the safety of your loving arms and a warm cozy bed.  Sofie loves to snuggle with her foster family. She loves car rides too!  She is spayed and had her teeth cleaned recently for the first time. She lost 8 teeth, but she still has plenty more. Her blood work looks good! She is heart worm negative, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and on preventatives as well. Who ever adopts her will need to keep her name.  It's the only name she has known and she responds to it always. She is so a Sofie Bug anyway!  We would like to place her in a home with parents somewhat active that are home most of the day, that can smother her with love all the time. Foster introduced her to her dogs and they are all great together. She has not been around kids at all.  She is very shy & cautious at first but once she trusts you, she is a total love bug! You MUST be willing to take the time to help her adjust to her new environment.  It takes at the very least TWO weeks for most rescues to adjust.  She is potty trained but may have some accidents until she is comfortable. She is so smart, and truly the best.  If you are interested, please fill out an application and we will get back with you ASAP.
