Darla is a beautiful Shih Tzu. She is a social butterfly but is definitely an alpha female. She is under two years old and therefore has energy and wants to have fun. She gets really bossy with other dogs so therefore we believe she might thrive as being the only spoiled fur baby in the house. She likes to hang around everyone at the rescue. She does well in a crate but of course would prefer not to be in one and doesn’t need one. She weighs around 16 pounds. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is ready for her forever home!

Her back story:

We were contacted and asked to help a son who's mother had died after a long illness. The son is having to shut down the house, while dealing with his own health issues. He was desperately trying to find placement for the 7 dogs his mom had. He was able to find homes for two and we agreed to take the remaining five. Three have been adopted from the rescue already.
