Peaches and her puppies were a surprise from the streets of San Antonio. Our San Antonio Network of trappers were trying to catch several dogs that had been running loose for many months. We agreed to take the small pregnant one, who was one of the last dogs caught. She was missing for several days and we all hoped she had found a great home.

About a week later there was another sighting of the dog. Only this time she looked different....she had delivered her pups on the street. They were able to trap her and find her puppies. In addition, they found another dog that was protecting momma and her puppies. They brought her to the ranch too.

We named the momma dog Peaches. She is probably a doxy mix of some kind. The pictures are deceiving. She is not very big and her puppies are all under 3 pounds. The big girl with her is Lightning, named after the white streak on her back.

They were feral when they came in. Momma would try to bite us every time we got near the puppies, now she is a love bug. Lightning is leary of new people, but she warms up fast.

Lightning is already fixed and ready for the right new home. You will have to have plenty of patience, because she is shy. But she walks great on a leash and LOVES kids.

Peaches will be fixed the first week in April, 2019, then she will be ready for adoptions. The children just got their first shot today. They will be ready for adoption Early May, 2019. Send in your applications now. They will go fast.

Chip is the largest puppy. He is a male. Shivers and Vanilla (who we can Nilla) are females. They are all incredibly social and love people.
