He came in covered in ticks and has Erlichia and Anaplasmosis, which it is being treated for 30 days with Doxycyline.

Hi, I am Duke. I was rescued from Moore, Texas in a voluntary seizure of 70 dogs. Our human mom died, leaving us without a home. She had way too many dogs, but she did love us and gave us food. She just couldn't afford to buy us flea and tick meds. Unfortunately our mom also got sick from the ticks and couldn't recover. Unfortunately a large number of my fursiblings didn't survive the snow storm. The only protection we had was a destroyed house without windows or doors. We were very cold.

I don't like to brag, but I have been told I am an amazing dog. I love everyone, I behave and I am potty trained, but I have to admit I can get pretty excited at times and mark. You will probably want to put me in a belly band for at least a week after I go home with you. I would love to be your new baby. I promise you will be very happy with me.
