Meet Trixie, a sweet and shy little rat terrier who is looking for her forever home. At just about a year old and weighing 10 pounds, Trixie is a petite bundle of energy with a big heart. While she may be initially timid, it doesn't take long for her to warm up once she trusts you. Trixie was sadly surrendered by a family with a small child who unintentionally scared her, so she’s a little cautious around new people at first.

She’s a social pup who thrives in the company of other dogs and enjoys following her humans around once she feels comfortable. Her athletic spirit shines through in her love of play, especially with her favorite toys! Trixie is ready to find a patient and loving family who will give her the time she needs to feel secure.

This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
