.My name is Sara and I am a survivor. When I was about 7 months old I was dumped out in Bandera County. I got very hungry, so I went looking for food. Unfortunately the food I found was connected to a steel jaw trap, which caught my foot. I finally chewed my back foot off to escape, but I was very week. Lucky for me a nice lady found me by the creek and took me to the vet. The vet felt sorry for me, so they called the girls to see if they would take me. I was very scared at first, but they let me watch tv and sleep on the couch and I love it. I don't trust new people easy, but once I know you I will give you kisses and snuggle with you. However, I don't want anyone I don't know REALLY well to touch my foot. I am very protective of it. I won't bite, but I will pull away and get very scared.
Sara needs a quiet home where she can get love and attention. She is still somewhat shy, but very loving. Adoption fee of $150 includes the spay/neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and a heartworm test verifying she is negative.
A Doggie 4 You is a non-profit organization. We are one of the only rescues that accept dogs that are injured or in need of medical treatment. Our standard adoption fee is $150, or $300 for a purebred or highly adoptable dog. All monies go towards the care and placement of the dogs. We use the higher adoption fees on the highly adoptable dogs to help offset the medical and surgical costs on the less desirable dogs.
