Big Boi is an awesome male boxer. He came to us from Leon Valley Animal Control, where he was going to be euthanized. Lucky for him, the staff at Leon Valley Animal Hospital called us and asked us to rescue him. He knows his basic sit, stay, down and shake commands. He gets along with other dogs and animals and we are introducing him to livestock and cats. We need to put a little weight on him before he can be neutered, so he will not be available for adoption until 7/15/2013, but we are taking applications on him.
He did test positive for heartworms, so he has been started on a slow treat. He will go to his new home with all of the medication he requires to become heartworm free.
Big Boi's adoption fee is $250 and will include neuter, micro-chip, distemper/parvo, bordatella and rabies vaccines. It will also include six months of the HW medications. He will be retested in six months and if necessary, we will continue to treat until he is cleared of heartworms. |
